Born in Ashburton in 1944. Educated at Nelson College and Wanganui College.
 
1959-1960 Had personal tuition with World War II artist (and map maker for General Freyberg) the late Ted Lewis.
 
1968-1969 Studied figure, portraiture and landscape under the late Dame Louise Henderson.
 
1976 Winner of the inaugural George Harrison Orange Festival Award.
 
1977 Finalist in the Benson and Hedges Award.
 
1975-1985 Exhibitions in various New Zealand centres and Australia.
 
From the mid eighties to the mid nineties pursued other business interests and travel.
 
1997 Winner of the Macalister Award.
 
1999 Exhibitions in Auckland, Wellington and Napier.
 
2000 Exhibitions in Napier and Auckland and Zug, Switzerland.
 
Represented in embassies and private collections in USA, Canada, Switzerland, Japan, Great Britain, and Holland, Australia and throughout New Zealand.
