Mandy was born in Christchurch and has always had an interest in drawing and painting from her early years. She spent 12 years in Australia during which time she studied floristry and for 4 years, owned and operated her own floral studio there. Mandy has since returned to Christchurch and is pursuing her love of painting further. Mandy has been exhibiting her works in galleries throughout the Canterbury region since 2002 with sell-out results. She prefers contemporary designs and predominately uses acrylics however sometimes also incorporates mixed media to obtain interesting textures. Her works tend to have a NZ influence using neutral and earthy tones and she enjoys achieving interesting backgrounds on her canvas. A love of nature is always reflected in Mandy’s paintings with a distinct subtlety.
