Elizabeth Morrison-DulieuShow current work by this artist | Show sold work by this artist Elizabeth, originally from Queenstown, has been painting full-time in Auckland for twelve years distributing her work to galleries all over New Zealand. She has a proud Maori lineage through the people of Ngai Tahu in the South Island as well as being a direct descendant of James Spencer, the first white settler at Bluff who married Mere Te Kauri. Elizabeth is inspired by her heritage and her surrounding bush at home to paint original oils on canvas to portray legends of the southern region and native bird life. For many of her works she has incorporated 2mm alloy with traditional carving patterns engraved, representing an eclectic combination of the old and the new. The “Mechanical Oils” series can be found in several galleries throughout New Zealand and in private collections in the U.K and America. Elizabeth has had two solo exhibitions, both in the Bruce Mason Centre on the North Shore Auckland. Her work has featured on the Good Morning show, The Living Channel and in articles in numerous publications
